ACTIVITIES

Scuba diving

15 dive sites are available around Gadji Bay.
Passes, drops, high or low depths and caves allow both experienced and debutant divers the chance to dive in the same areas.

The spots

• Le jardin d’Eden (Garden of Eden): succession of rifts between 5 and 50 m. Soft corals, gorgons, alcyonnaires and sponges. Experienced divers.
• La vallée des gorgones (Gorgon Valley): numerous rifts. Abundant fauna.
• La grotte de la 3e (The 3rd cave): unique dive in a forest with stalactites and stalagmites in the immersed part of the cave. Guaranteed cave atmosphere. Experienced divers.
• Kasmira Reef: high seabed full of fish and leopard sharks. Dive corresponds to all levels.

Introduction dive:

Discover the beautiful underwater life. Lead by a guide, let yourself appreciate.

Exploration dives (x2)

The 2 exploration dives are organized in the morning: departure at 7h30 and back at 13h30.
There is 1 hour break between the 2 dives to get a snack (coffee, tea, biscuits).

Fresh water cave dive

For EXPERIENCED divers only, fond of caves atmosphere. A first dive in the sea is compulsory to control your buoyancy.

Night dive

Renowned for its mysterious atmosphere, with the sea snakes and loggerhead turtles.

For non divers: enjoy the boat ride, and explore the reef around our dive sites with fins, mask and snorkel.

THE DIVING CENTER

Located in the Ouaméo Bay, very closed to the Hotel Kodjeue, the club opened in 1974.
The team is comprised of Jean-Luc (Manager, B.E.E.S.1 and PADI instructor), Patrick (PADI instructor), Nicodème (PADI instructor assistant), Narcisse (Guide and  PADI Divemaster) and of Jean-Louis and Antoine, both boat crew and taking care of your safety from the surface).
The center is equipped with TV, Video and all standards of education from PADI and ANMP.

- Kunie Scuba Center is an AQUALUNG Partner Center. They own 16 full sets of diving equipment which consist of: Regulators, BCDs, 5mm long wetsuits, Shortys, Fins, Masks and Snorkels. All equipment is available for rent.

- The centre is equipped with 2 BAUER compressors (20m3/h) and 40 aluminium tanks.

- Boats : two semi-rigid boats can take you to the various dive sites.
MAIN BOAT (Type NAIAD ): Length 9 metres, Maximum 15 divers, Engines 2x200 CV
SECONDARY BOAT (Type LOMAC): Length 6.50 metres, Maximum 6 divers, Engine 1x140 CV
Each boat is equipped with an emergency oxygen system, a medic first aid kit, a radio and mobile phone, life vests, and some spare parts for dive equipment.
