Founded in 1955, Air Calédonie or "AirCal" is the only airline operating flights covering the whole New Caledonian domestic network.

To achieve this, since 2007 the fleet includes 2 ATR 72-500 (68 seats each), 1 ATR 42-500 (48 seats).


 


 


Destinations


 


 


Air Calédonie offers departure from Magenta-Nouméa, to nine of the most attractive destinations: the Loyalty Islands (Maré, Lifou, Ouvéa and Tiga), the Isle of Pines, the North Province (Koné, Koumac and Bélep).


 


 




Tchap Tchap / Inter-iles


 


Tchap Tchap : From November 1st 2003, “Tchap Tchap “ allows passengers to travel between Loyauty Island through Noumea Magenta Domestic Airport with only one coupon.  But these flights called “chap-chap” are slowly going to stop this year (2011).




Inter-islands : Today there are fewer direct Inter-island flights, especially between Lifou and Ouvéa.




 




Pass 


 


Aimed at international clientele, the PASS allows you to travel to several destinations within New Caledonia, at special fares. This includes 4 flights coupons and more if requesed by passengers.


- Resident of a country outside New Caledonia (passport).

- Holder of an international air ticket for a stay of under 3 months.

- To be valid, the PASS must be paid in full before first coupon departure.

- The coupons must be utilised at the latest 2 months after the date of issue of the PASS.

ATTENTION: The Pass is a promotional rate subject to the following conditions: limited availability, specific reservation constraints, only on selected flights designated by the domestic airline, seats per flight is limited!






Availability on flights designated by the company, seats limited, promotional rate subject to conditions, specific reservation constraints.


 




If this special rate is not available or sold, another rate will be proposed. This price will be different according to the “Class” chosen, with the sales conditions regarding to this price. 








 


 Child rates


 


Child under 12 years old : 60% of adult rate taxes excluded. Plus 1350 CFP (11.31 Euro) of taxes need to be added - Seat confirmed

Infant under 2 years old : 10% of adult rate  taxes excluded (except Pass rate) Only the A.A.C. need to be added (350 CFP / 2, 93 Euro per coupon) - No seat

In order to apply the child and infant reductions, the airline company requires a legal document indicating the date of birth of the child. We must received a copy of the required document at least 15 days before date of arrival.


 


 


Rates and practical information


 


 


ATTENTION : for any flight booking, the passport number of the passenger is compulsory at the booking.


The airfares class, are defined as follows:


 


_YI Class ( Santal), 12kg maxi by passenger


 


_YI Class (Santal-Airfares code YXBI) : Santal Bagplus, allows 20kg by passenger with supplement (Compulsory sales conditions : International flight ticket with a validity less than 3 months stay in New Caledonia)


 


_SI Class (Océan), 12kg maxi by passenger


 




_LI Class (Niaouli) ,PASS: 20kg maxi by passenger, new conditions : only on certain flights chosen by the domestic Airline, and also the seats are limited! (Compulsory sales conditions : International flight ticket with a validity less than 3 months stay in New Caledonia)




 


_VI Class (Pandanus)  N/A


 


_WI Class (Flamboyant)  « Day trip » = 12kg maxi,specific rate for Day trip on Loyautly Islands and isle of Pines


 


Tax:


 


The following taxes are included in all the fares listed below and is a fixed amount per flight coupon issued:


- Additional Airfaire Contribution (A.A.C.)




Adult and child : 700 CFP / 5, 86 Euros per flight coupon

Infant under 2 years old : 350 CFP / 2, 93 Euros per flight coupon


 


- Fuel Surcharge

Per flight coupon issued :

Adult and child : 650 CFP / 5.44 Euros per flight coupon – Infant under 2 years old : Tax not applicable


 


Baggage allowance :


 


The bagage allowances depends on the rate chosen: 


20 kg per adult and 10 kg per child from 2 to 11 years old (except day trip)

Day trip : 12 Kg per adult and 6kg per child from 2 to 11 years old

No Left Luggage Office at Magenta Airport. The excess luggage rate can be from 1,60 Euros per kilo to2,43 Euros per Kilo. Excess luggage will be authorized or not in the same flight as the passenger according to the occupancy on the flight.


 


Modification, cancellation and no show :


 


Modification: for any type of modification, 735cfp (6,16 Euros) of penalty by coupon already issued, is required by the Domestic company 


Cancellation and no-show : in case of cancellation 48h before the date of departure 25% on the 1st coupon will be required by the company. (except on V Class –Pandanus: 100% cancellation fee, not refundable)


 


 



 


Please note that there will be no flights on the 25/12/11 morning and the 01/01/2012 morning.



Rates are per one way, per person and all taxes included.

The company reserves the right to modify the below rates without notice and with immediate effect.
