Most of our vehicles are manual so for an automatic vehicle, the request must be specified on the booking.

We recommend you this following use:

GPS :  Possiblity to rent - it's an option - a GPS for 1000 XPF/day (8,38€).

2012 / 2013 Season

Collision Damage Bond :
Category A, B, C, D : 140 000 CFP / 1 174 euros
Category K : 220 000 CFP / 1 844 euros
The renter will be charged maximum for the collision bond (non-waiverable excess) if the car is damaged. Beyond this amount, the full insurance will cover any additional expense.
Vehicles will not be delivered without payment of this Collision Damage Bond (credit card imprint).

Age :
Minimum age: 25
Driver must have held a driving license for a minimum of 3 years

Pick up and Drop off:
Tontouta International Airport, Magenta Airport, Thrifty office in the city and all Noumea hotels.

Please note that since the Chambre of Commerce has established an airport tax for the Rental Car companies, customers have to pay a fee of 1050 CFP / 8.80 Euros for having rental car pick-up and drop-off at Tontouta International Airport (one fee per contract).

The car must be dropped off with same level of fuel as on delivery and in a clean condition, otherwise clients will be charged as follow : Fixed price for cleaning - Interior: 3 150 CFP / 26,40 euros - Exterior: 3 150 CFP / 26,40 euros - Fixed price for refueling : 2 625 CFP / 22 euros per quarter of a tank.

Additional cost for a baby seat or a booster seat :
- Baby seat : 1 050 F / 8.80 Euros per lease
- Booster seat : 525 F / 4.40 Euros per lease

Fines : Any unpaid fines incurred during the car rental period will be debited to the renter's credit card, together with an administration fee of 5000 CFP / 41.90 Euros.

The above conditions are the general ones. Depending on the car rental company used, they can be modified.

 2013 / 2014 Season

Collision Damage Bond :
Category A, B, C, D : 180 000 CFP / 1 508.40 euros
Category K : 250 000 CFP / 2 095 euros
The renter will be charged maximum for the collision bond (non-waiverable excess) if the car is damaged. Beyond this amount, the full insurance will cover any additional expense.
Vehicles will not be delivered without payment of this Collision Damage Bond (credit card imprint).
Option: Excess Waiver Insurance can be reduced until to 50 000 XPF with an extra insurance. It must sign on site with the car rental.
For information:
- Rent lenght lower or equal to 7 days: 2000 XPF TTC/day (16.76€)
- Rent lenght upper to 7 days: 1500 XPF TTC/day ( 12.57€)
This option is exclusive of K-SUV category. 

Age :
Minimum : 23 years old or driver must have held a driving licence for a minimum of 3 years

- Fixed price for cleaning - Inside and outside : 9 000 XPF / 75,42 €, with an extra charge of 6 000 XPF / 50,28 € if red soil
- Fixed price for refueling : 3 000 CFP / 25,14 € per quarter of fuel missing

Airport tax fee : This airport tax fee is 1 050 XPF / 8,80 € for any pick up or drop off of the rental vehicle at Tontouta Airport.

2500 XPF, only for one day rental, if the pick-up and the drop off are not in the same car park (for instance : pick up the rental car at Nouméa in the morning, and drop off at Tontouta airport in the evening).

The above conditions are the general ones. Depending on the car rental company used, they can be modified.
For example, some of the car rental company that we use apply a fee for Pick up or Drop off at the Tontouta International airport that is located at 50 Km from Nouméa.

- Booster seat : 500 F / 4.19 Euros per lease
